Membership
The Trust has 486 members. Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March, and you can join at the museum desk at any time of year.

New members who join after 1 January are members until the end of March the following year.
What members receive
- The Crest, the Trust’s newsletter, in March, July and November.
- A vote at the annual general meeting, and the right to stand for election as a trustee.
- Free places on the monthly guided Town Trail, and talks at £3.
- 10% off in the museum shop.
- One bottle of the Lilac Fair cordial reserved each year, to collect from the museum desk on the Monday after the fair.
- One hour of research by the Curator each year, free.
- The members’ outing each September, to a museum or historic house in the region (at cost).
How to join
Membership is taken at the museum desk, when the museum is open. Fill in a membership form, which takes a couple of minutes, and pay by card, cash or cheque. If you are a UK taxpayer, please complete the Gift Aid declaration on the form. You will be given your membership card and the latest Crest there and then.
If you cannot come to the museum, we can post you a form. Please telephone the Trust office on 01632 960187 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.00–13.00) or email membership@vengerberg.org. We do not take payments online.
Renewing
We write to members in March. You can renew at the desk, by post with a cheque, or by standing order (forms from the desk). About two-thirds of members pay by standing order.
We keep members’ names, addresses and Gift Aid declarations as described in our privacy notice. Membership is not transferable. Subscriptions are not refundable, but if you leave in the first month we will refund in full.
